YESS use approved VEU lighting products by our preferred supplier and manufacturer Emerald Planet https://www.emeraldplanet.com.au/
There are Warm White -3000K or Cool White – 4000K available.
Our cool white is like a bright sunny day, its still warm, but the light is more blue in colour.
Our Warm White is more like the light you would get from a traditional incandescent or halogen globe or a candle. It is yellow and warm.
We are unable to offer “Daylight” or 6000K globes under the scheme. They would be similar to what you would find in a supermarket or hospital.
The VEU is an acronym for the Victorian Energy Upgrades program. The program is regulates by the ESC (Essential Services Commission). The Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program helps Victorians reduce their energy bills and greenhouse gas emissions by providing access to discounted energy efficient product and services.
Large energy retailers are required to acquire and surrender Victorian energy efficiency certificates (VEECs) to meet annual target set in Victorian legislation.
‘Accredited persons’ that carry out upgrade activities by installing energy-efficient products in residential or non-residential premises can create VEECs.
All Victorian households and businesses that have lighting technology such as incandescent lamps, halogen lamps and CFLs are eligible to participate.
Participation in the scheme is voluntary. If you would prefer to keep your existing lighting you are not required to participate in the scheme and have your lighting upgraded to LED.
Priority Group Australia have been an Accredited Provider of the Victoria Energy Upgrades (VEU – formerly VEET) since 2011, providing energy saving services to Homes and Businesses in Victoria.
Energy Educators, is one of YESS’ direct marketing partners. They specialise in lead generation for energy efficiency schemes.
Emerald Planet products come with a 3 year manufacturers warranty. YESS will process any warranty claims for the first 2 years of your install. To claim any faulty globe within the warranty period, you will need to return it to the YESS office. This can be by post or in person.
At the time of your install you need be go around your home and check that you are happy with what has been installed. YESS will not return due to change of mind once the paperwork has been signed. If you would like YESS to return there is an $85 call out fee which will cover the electricians first 30 minutes and then $85 will be charged for each hour after that.
The free installation is for a minimum of ten globes, we are unable to ask our electricians to return to install missed globes, if the number falls below this or if your VEU claim has already been lodged with the commission. If you would like YESS to return there is an $85 call out fee which will cover the electricians first 30 minutes and then $85 will be charged for each hour after that.
Faulty fixtures or missing lights are unable to be upgraded if a VEU Rebate is being claimed. All light fixtures must be working on the day of your scheduled upgrade in order to replace under the VEU program. If a fitting has no working lights it will not be upgraded because the program is designed to provide energy savings to the business or home. In the scenario where a light is missing or not working (not drawing power) then by YESS installing a light in its place, we would be increasing the energy consumption for that fitting, not reducing it like we want to.
