2026 Appliance Purchase Rebate Eligibility Check

Model and Rebate Check

Check the eligibility and estimated rebate amount of your purchased model(s) below.

GEMS Registration

PLEASE NOTE: Any appliance purchased must be registered with the Greenhouse & Energy Minimum Standards (GEMS) Regulator to be eligible for a REPS rebate. All models exactly as they appear in the following dropdown menus have been registered with the GEMS. Please note GEMS registration alone does not guarantee all eligibility requirements have been met. You can find a full list of all product eligibility requirements further down on this page. For more information regarding the GEMS, please refer to the FAQs below.

Step 1: Check Your Eligibility

  1. Select Your Appliance: Use the dropdown menus to choose your appliance's brand and model.
  2. Review Your Eligibility: The form will show you if your appliance is eligible for a rebate and, if so, how much.
  3. Appliance Not Listed? If your appliance isn’t listed, fill out our appliance check form for manual verification.

Model Does Not Appear Above

If your model does not appear above, this means it either has not been registered with the Greenhouse & Energy Minimum Standards (GEMS) Regulator, or was very recently registered. You can request a check by filling out our request form here: https://yess.net.au/appliance-rebate-manual-check-request-form/

An appliance purchase is complete when all terms of the sale have been satisfied and the consumer has received their goods.

If you have purchased an appliance in-store and collected the appliance on the same day, then the day you paid for the appliance is also the completion date of the activity, as this is the date you received the goods. If you have purchased an appliance online or purchased in-store and scheduled a delivery, then the date you receive the goods is the date your purchase is complete. REPS activities are lodged with the date that the activity is complete.

REPS activities are lodged at the address where the activity took place. The activity is complete once the consumer has received their goods. Each REPS activity can only be provided once per address, and each appliance is only eligible for one REPS rebate. If you move house, you cannot lodge two REPS claims on the one appliance using both addresses.

Example 1:

You purchased an appliance when you were living in Prospect. The appliance was delivered to the property in Prospect. You later moved to Seacliff before finding out about the REPS rebates. Your REPS application must be lodged at the old Prospect address, even if it has been several months since you have lived there, because that is the address where the activity took place.

Example 2:

You purchased an appliance when you were living in Prospect; however, the appliance is for a house that is being built in Seacliff. There is a significant delay between your paying for the appliance and the appliance being delivered to the Seacliff property. Though you paid for the appliance while living in Prospect, the purchase is not complete until your goods are received. Once the appliance has been delivered to the Seacliff address, you must lodge the REPS application under the Seacliff address.

YESS offers higher rebates to Priority Group customers, so providing evidence of the household’s priority group status is a condition to access better rates.

Learn more about priority group eligibility and the evidence required at https://yess.net.au/about/priority-group-households/

Each REPS activity can be provided once per address. If you are unsure whether you or a previous tenant may have lodged a REPS claim at your address, the YESS team can search the REPS database for you. The REPS system uses the Australia Post Address Database to determine valid addresses – if your address is not valid on the Australia Post Address Database, you are still eligible to access REPS activities; however, we will need to collect additional address evidence from you to support your REPS claim.

The Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards (GEMS) Regulator is part of the Australian Government’s Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water. It oversees the Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards (GEMS) Act 2012, which sets mandatory energy efficiency standards for certain appliances and equipment sold in Australia

To be eligible for appliance purchase rebates under REPS, the appliance must be registered with the GEMS Regulator. This registration confirms that the product meets Australia’s Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) and, where applicable, carries an Energy Rating Label. Registration ensures the appliance contributes to reducing energy use and greenhouse gas emissions, aligning with national energy efficiency goals

You can check if an appliance is registered by searching the Energy Rating Registration Database at https://reg.energyrating.gov.au/comparator/product_types/
