REPS (Retailer Energy Productivity Scheme) is an SA Government initiative that helps households and businesses reduce their energy costs. It commenced on January 1st, 2021, replacing the old REES, which (along with the previous Residential Energy Efficiency Scheme) had been in place for over a decade. This scheme helps South Australians get more value from their energy.

Under the REPS program, the Minister for Energy and Mining will require energy retailers in South Australia to provide incentives for SA households and businesses to achieve energy savings and potentially lower their energy bills. Energy retailers that exceed certain thresholds are set annual targets for delivering energy efficiency activities to households and businesses. Many obliged retailers use the services of third-party contractors of the scheme, such as YESS.

Your electricity billing is used to validate your address and in some instances to confirm that you are a small energy consumer.

There is no limit on the number of RDCs, however you must meet installation requirements for each. This includes having a dedicated power point for each RDC. The RDCs can not be installed onto power-boards.

As part of the service we provide, we take away the packaging and dispose of and recycle where possible, at our warehouse.

As part of the REPS activity specifications installation must be undertaken in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. In order to meet this requirement YESS install the RDCs by workers trained to meet the scheme’s specifications.

Deliveries are done between the hours of 8 am and 2 pm, Monday to Friday.

No. The Activity Specifications require us to install the units for you. We only provide the number of units that we can see you will be using. You cannot order or recieve surplus to your needs.

Terms and Conditions

Installing a refrigerated display cabinet that is rated as ‘high efficiency’ within the meaning of the AS 1731 series of standards or within the meaning of The Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards (Refrigerated Cabinets) Determination 2020.

Any commercial site in South Australia where the installed product requirements and minimum installation requirements can be met.

(1) For products registered to the AS1731 Standard, the RDC must be rated as ‘high efficiency’ within the meaning of the AS1731 series of standards when tested in accordance with the AS1731 series of standards as applicable. For products registered to the Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards (Refrigerated Cabinets) Determination 2020, the refrigerated display cabinet must have an Energy Efficiency Index (EEI) of less than 77 as calculated within the terms defined in ISO 23953-2 and
(2) The RDC must be registered and listed on the GEMS register of currently approved products and
(3) For products registered to the AS1731 Standard, this activity applies only to M-package temperature classes M1, M2, L1 and L2 (as applicable) as defined in the AS 1731 series of standards and
(4) The activity does not cover the retrofitting of existing refrigeration equipment.

(1) Installation must be undertaken in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
(2) If electrical work is required to be undertaken, then this must be performed by a licensed electrical worker under the supervision of a licensed electrical contractor.
(3) If gassing or de-gassing is required to be undertaken, then this must be carried out by technicians licensed under the Ozone Protection and Synthetic Greenhouse Gas Management Act 1989 (Cth).
