Rebate 1: Home Energy Assessment Rebate
This rebate provides up to $200 towards the cost of a Residential Efficiency Scorecard assessment. Conducted by an accredited assessor, this home assessment evaluates your property’s energy use, pinpointing areas for improvement. It’s a crucial step in identifying how to reduce energy consumption and enhance comfort levels within your home. Successful applicants are limited to receiving one of these rebates per home each financial year.

Rebate 2: Window Treatment Rebate
For those looking to improve their home’s thermal performance, this rebate offers up to $200 towards the installation of window treatments. Options like double glazing, tinting, or external sunshades can significantly reduce heat loss or gain, leading to a more comfortable and energy-efficient living space. Similar to the Home Energy Assessment rebate, successful applicants can receive one of these rebates per home each financial year.
Rebate 3: Appliance Electrification Rebate
Transitioning from gas to electric or solar-powered appliances can have a significant impact on both emissions and energy costs. This rebate offers up to $250 to support residents in replacing gas appliances, contributing to a reduction in carbon footprint and running expenses. As with the previous rebates, residents are eligible for one rebate per home each financial year.
Rebate 4: Active Transport Rebate
Promoting sustainable commuting, this rebate offers up to $400 towards the purchase of an E-bike or E-cargo bike. Embracing active transport not only supports environmental goals but also enhances personal health and well-being. This rebate can only be received once.
Each of these rebates is designed to assist West Torrens residents in progressively upgrading their homes and lifestyles towards sustainability. Whether you’re focusing on reducing energy consumption, improving thermal performance, transitioning to electric appliances, or adopting sustainable transport, there’s a rebate available to support your efforts.
By providing these incentives, the City of West Torrens aims to empower residents to take proactive steps in creating more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly homes. Through the Climate Resilient Living rebate programme, the community can collectively move towards a more sustainable future, one home at a time.
